Eat, Drink, Shop, and Live In Clarendon Hills

One of the best ways to experience Clarendon Hills is to visit their quaint downtown. Although not as large as the neighboring downtowns it still has a lot to offer. Park your car and walk around. It will not disappoint. As you walk downProspect Ave you will pass a hardware store, coffee shop, hair salon, Ice Cream shop, and local Real Estate companies. Let’s not forget the wonderful restaurants downtown. In this blog I want to explore my favorite eating destinations.

Talleys KitchenTALLEY’S KITCHEN AND BAR
Krista Talley the owner of this fabulous restaurant describes her cooking as “Food from the Heart”. This restaurant is filled with locals who rave about the food. When I went to this restaurant the first time I was greeted right away by a server and asked if I wanted anything. The service is impeccable and the wine list “Hand Picked and Top Notch”. You truly feel right at home here. One cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. My favorites are the baked goat cheese appetizer and the bone in pork chop as your main entrée. After your first visit to this restaurant you will want to go back.I promise…..31 S prospect Ave in Clarendon Hills

THIPITHAI
Are you in the mood for Thai food? If so try Thipi Thai which is located along the train tracks on Walker which is around the corner from the main street which runs through town. This restaurant is another local favorite however people come from other neighboring communities to dine here as well.. It is a great place to gather with friends. The panang curry is so flavorful and the fried pot stickers with soy dipping sauce is out of this world. A fun place to go with the family…Thipithai

THE DAILY SCOOP
One could not write about Clarendon Hills without mentioning everyone’s favorite local spot “The Daily Scoop”. This a cute little downtown ice cream shop with a small town vibe. The ice cream is delicious and the employees are local boys and girls who are always smiling and willing to help. In the summer the street is lined with families eating ice cream and just hanging out. It is a special place that will make you feel like a kid again…
